This year, the "Philippine Technological Council, Women Engineers Network" (PTC WEN) is organizing the annual meeting of APNN in conjunction with the Council's 5th annual Philippine Women Engineers Summit from 7 to 9 of October 2021. The motto will be "Women Engineers and Scientists: Catalysts for Climate Action."  The meeting will be held in Pampanga, Philippines, face-to-face and online (hybrid). This book was developed by the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES) and the Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC). It features women leaders from the members of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and the International Network for Women Engineers and Scientists (INWES), a partnership project that is advancing the goals of gender equality for women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

The webinar will present an opportunity for young engineers to understand how they can also chart their pathways to success.

This year's celebration coincides with the launch of a new global report on Engineering entitled " Engineering for Sustainable Development: Delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals". The Report’s five chapters analyse successively how engineering is essential to sustainability, why it should become more diverse and inclusive, which are the key innovations that will make a difference in delivering the SDGs, what engineering primary and life-long education is needed to achieve those objectives, and which are the defining engineering trends in the world’s regions.
